Member of the Board of Directors of Explorer Investments, partner in the Hospitality business area and member of the Investment Commission of Explorer Investments. José Tiago joined Explorer Investments in 2012, forming part of the team which founded Discovery, with responsibility for acquisitions. Within this area he led the valuation process, due diligence and acquisition of around 30 operations worth over 600M€.
Currently, he is the leader of the Discovery advisory team, focused on implementing the turnaround of Hospitality assets worth over 1.000 M€.
From 2005 to 2012 José was a consultant at McKinsey & Co., having developed and led several strategy, corporate finance and operational change projects in Portugal, Africa and Latin America, particularly in the energy, infrastructure and financial sectors.
He has an MBA from Columbia Business School (2009) and a degree in Economics from Faculdade de Economia do Porto (2005).
