As advisor to Discovery Fund, our hospitality investment strategy began by acquiring a portfolio of distressed hotels and properties that we transformed into one of the largest and most successful hotel operations in the country.

We have built a large team of seasoned operational experts to help transform the prospects of a wide range of hotels, touristic real estate and golf courses driving significant improvements in profitability and guest experience.

RECENT EXIT

Six Senses Douro Valley is a luxury hotel located in the wine-producing Douro region, which is a UNESCO world heritage site and a popular tourism destination.

Working with the team, we repositioned an underperforming property and introduced the first Six Senses in Europe, drawing out the potential of the exceptional asset. We led a significant renovation plan, supported improvements in service level and consistency and brought in new hires to strengthen the management team. We also managed to improve the sustainability of the hotel through several initiatives, including the introduction of composting of all organic waste.
