Luís started his career at JP Morgan Chase Bank in London, before joining Fundação Ilidio Pinho, and IP Holding as board advisor, being responsible for supporting the CEO in managing the investment portfolio in market capitals, private equity and hedge funds. He is a former member of the Portuguese Parliament.
Luís joined Unilabs Portugal in February 2006 as M&A and New Business Director. In 2008, he took over the General Management of Unilabs Portugal and was appointed CEO of Unilabs Portugal in 2013. He was appointed Group Regional Director Portugal, Latin America, and the Middle East in October 2019. During this period, Luis created one of the largest buy-and-build operations in Portugal, creating a team, a making of Unilabs the market leader in the diagnostic sector in the country. He is also a former member of the Portuguese Parliament from 2009 to 2014
Luís graduated in Economics from the Portuguese Catholic University, has an Advanced Management Program from INSEAD, having also also studied at Oxford's Said Business Scholl, IESE Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and IMD.
